Temperature and storage guidance

• Minimum application temperature: 30°F (-1°C)
• Service temperature range: -65°F to 200°F (-54°C to 93°C)
• Optimal storage: 72°F (22°C) at 50% relative humidity
• Outdoor use: Not recommended

The minimum application temperature applies when placing the label. The service range describes conditions in use, not storage conditions or permission to apply labels at the lowest service temperature. Pre-test adhesion on your actual surface under intended conditions.

Printing and printer fit

The manufacturer describes Z-Select 4000T as offering excellent high-speed print quality, but the supplied sheet does not specify a numeric print-speed limit. Validate printer settings and barcode readability with the actual ribbon and label design.

Zebra 6000, 2000 and 6100 ribbons appear in the sheet's testing guidance. Choose the ribbon format and formulation appropriate to your exact printer and application. Verify support for the 4" label width, 3" core, 8" roll diameter, material thickness and media sensing requirements. Print width alone does not confirm roll fit.

Suggested applications

The material family is intended for packaging-material labeling, product identification and work-in-process tracking. Suitability for a prescribed label layout or shipping workflow depends on your software, printer and applicable format requirements. Do not assume broad chemical resistance or permanent print readability in every environment.

Frequently asked questions

Does Zebra 800640-505 require a ribbon?

Yes. These are thermal transfer labels, not direct thermal labels. A compatible ribbon is required and sold separately.

How many labels are supplied?

Each case contains 4 rolls, with 1,365 labels per roll.

Will these labels fit any 4-inch printer?

No. Check the exact model's media width, core support, roll capacity, thickness and sensing requirements. A 4" print width alone does not establish compatibility.

Are the labels perforated?

The existing SKU information states that they are perforated. The material-family sheet does not independently verify this. Confirm construction before ordering if tear-off separation is essential.

Can these labels be used outdoors?

The manufacturer does not recommend Z-Select 4000T for outdoor use.

Are they smear- or chemical-resistant?

Print durability depends on ribbon selection, printer settings and exposure conditions. Test the complete label and ribbon combination rather than assuming universal resistance.
