Zebra 8000D 3.2 mil High-Temp Receipt Paper

Zebra 10001965 is white, smooth, topcoated direct thermal receipt paper supplied in 4-inch-wide x 74-foot rolls, with 36 rolls per case. The 8000D 3.2 mil High-Temp material provides excellent print quality and a service temperature range of -40°F to 194°F (-40°C to 90°C).

Applications and image durability

The material spec sheet suggests receipts for hot foods such as pizza and coffee, windshield receipts, direct store delivery and archival use. Under fluorescent bulbs and partial UV exposure through a window, Zebra reports 12 times the life of conventional direct thermal products. This does not mean the paper is suitable for prolonged outdoor exposure.

Archival storage requirements

Images can remain legible for up to 20 years only when properly formed and when receipts are handled and stored under the specified conditions. For archival use, protect receipts from light, heat, water, solvents, cleaners, plasticizers and oils, including vegetable and skin oils. Store with compatible materials below 77°F and at 45–65% relative humidity. Image durability depends on printing energy; use the recommended tone settings.

Printer setup and fit

Confirm that your printer accepts a 4-inch media width, 0.75-inch core, 2.25-inch roll outer diameter and 3.2 mil media thickness. The material-level printer recommendations below are not a guarantee that this particular roll size fits every listed printer.

At Speed 3 and Contrast 0, the sheet recommends tone 0 for MZ220, MZ320, QL220 Plus, QL320 Plus, QL420 Plus, RW220, RW420, ZQ310, ZQ320, QLn220, QLn320 and QLn420. For iMZ320, ZQ510 and ZQ520, it recommends tone 10. Check roll fit separately before ordering.

Chemical exposure limitations

The material sheet marks alcohol, ammonia, bleach, IPA, gasoline, grease, oil, acetone, IR reflow, MEK, TCE and xylene as not recommended. Pre-test the paper in your intended application before use.
