Clean Zebra 83340 label roll

Zebra 83340 Z-Select 4000T labels provide a wide, narrow 4" x 1" format for shelf-edge labels, price strips and product barcodes. Ultra-smooth, white topcoated paper supports high-quality thermal transfer printing, while permanent acrylic adhesive holds labels in place for indoor retail and warehouse workflows. Perforated stock allows easy separation. A compatible thermal transfer ribbon is required and sold separately.

Each case contains 4 rolls of 2,260 labels, totaling 9,040 labels. Rolls have a 1" core and a 5" outer diameter.

Material construction

Z-Select 4000T combines a 2.7 mil white topcoated paper facestock, a 0.5 mil permanent acrylic adhesive layer and a 2.5 mil, 40 lb. semi-bleached kraft liner. Total construction thickness is 5.7 mil ±10%. Its ultra-smooth surface supports high-quality thermal transfer printing, including high-speed applications with a suitable ribbon and printer setup.

Applications

Use the 4" x 1" format for shelf-edge identification, price strips, product barcodes, packaging identifiers and work-in-process tracking. Match the layout to your software and required information. This paper material is intended for indoor use and is not recommended for outdoor exposure.

Temperature and storage

  • Minimum application temperature: 30°F (-1°C)
  • Service temperature range: -65°F to 200°F (-54°C to 93°C)
  • Optimal storage conditions: 72°F (22°C) at 50% relative humidity

Application temperature describes conditions when attaching the label. Service temperature describes exposure after application; the lower service rating is not a cold-surface application rating. Pre-test adhesion and print readability on the intended surface under actual operating conditions.

Printer fit and ribbon selection

Select a thermal transfer printer that accommodates the media width, 1" core, 5" roll diameter and material thickness. Check the exact model's media sensing and ribbon requirements; print width alone does not establish roll compatibility. Use a compatible wax or wax/resin ribbon in the correct dimensions, core and winding for your printer. Zebra's material sheet evaluates the 2000, 6000 and 6100 ribbon families; choose the appropriate ribbon configuration for your equipment and application.

Exposure guidance

Test the complete label-and-ribbon combination for the intended end use. Alcohol, ammonia, bleach, IPA, gasoline, grease, oil, acetone, MEK, TCE and xylene are not recommended exposures with the ribbon combinations evaluated in the material sheet. These paper labels are not a substitute for solvent-resistant or outdoor-rated media.
