Zebra 10015344 Z-Select 4000D 4" x 3" Direct Thermal Labels, 12 Rolls/Case
Part 10015344
Zebra 10015344 Z-Select 4000D labels provide a 4" x 3" format for shipping identifiers, product barcodes and indoor warehouse labeling. Smooth coated white direct thermal paper prints without a ribbon, while permanent all-temperature acrylic adhesive supports a range of application environments. Perforated stock allows easy separation when preparing labels for daily shipping and inventory tasks.
Priced per case of 12 rolls. Each roll contains 930 labels, totaling 11,160 labels per case. Rolls have a 1" core and a 5" outer diameter. No thermal transfer ribbon is required.

Material construction and printing
Z-Select 4000D combines a 3.2 mil white coated direct thermal paper facestock, a 0.8 mil acrylic adhesive layer and a 2.3 mil, 40 lb. semi-bleached kraft liner. Total construction thickness is 6.3 mil ±10%. Zebra specifies good print quality at speeds up to 10 inches per second for this material; actual results depend on printer capability, settings and label design.
Applications
Use the 4" x 3" format for shipping identifiers, product identification, compliance information and work-in-process tracking. Match the label layout to the required information and barcode format for your workflow. This paper material has limited resistance to moisture and abrasion and is not recommended for outdoor use.
Temperature and storage
- Minimum application temperature: -20°F (-29°C)
- Service temperature range: -65°F to 140°F (-54°C to 60°C)
- Optimal storage conditions: 72°F (22°C) at 50% relative humidity
The minimum application temperature describes conditions when attaching a label. The service range describes exposure after application, not the temperature at which a label can first be attached. Pre-test adhesion and print readability on your intended surface under actual operating conditions.
Printer fit
Choose a direct thermal printer that accommodates the media width, 1" core, 5" roll diameter and material thickness. Verify the exact model's media sensing and handling requirements. A printer's nominal print width alone does not establish roll compatibility. These labels print directly using heat and do not use a thermal transfer ribbon.
Exposure limitations
This paper material offers limited moisture and abrasion resistance. Window cleaner, alcohol, ammonia, bleach, IPA, gasoline, grease, oil, acetone, MEK, TCE and xylene are not recommended exposures. Select media designed for harsher conditions when solvent resistance, heavy handling or outdoor exposure is required. Pre-test the labels for the intended application.
Frequently asked questions
What size are Zebra 10015344 labels?
Each individual label measures 4" wide by 3" long (101.6 x 76.2 mm).
How many labels come in a case?
Each roll contains 930 labels. A case contains 12 rolls, for a total of 11,160 labels.
Do these labels need a ribbon?
No. Z-Select 4000D is direct thermal paper and prints without a thermal transfer ribbon.
Are these labels perforated?
Yes. Zebra 10015344 labels are perforated for easy separation.
Will these fit any 4-inch printer?
The printer must support direct thermal printing and accept the media width, 1" core, 5" outer diameter and material thickness. Check sensing and handling requirements for the exact model.
What print speed does the material support?
Zebra specifies good print quality up to 10 inches per second for Z-Select 4000D material. Your printer and label design may require a lower speed.
Can these labels be applied at -65°F?
No. The minimum application temperature is -20°F (-29°C). The -65°F service rating is not an application temperature.
Are these labels waterproof or suitable outdoors?
No. The material has limited moisture and abrasion resistance and is not recommended for outdoor use.
How should unused rolls be stored?
Optimal storage conditions are 72°F (22°C) at 50% relative humidity.
